IceRays and Odyssey - a good match
On Friday, November 25, 50 Odyssey kids and their families were treated to an IceRays Hockey game by KBOB's Steakhouse. KBOB's purchased and donated the tickets to Odyssey so our kids would have the opportunity to attend a very exciting hockey game. The game was amazing, and we all had so much fun! Thank you, IceRays, for an awesome game, and thank you, KBOB's, for sending us!
We Won!!!!!
Odyssey has been awarded the National After School Alliance's "People's Choice" award in their recent Lights on After School photo contest. Our photo depicted all 100 of our Odyssey children forming a human lighthouse on the Rockport beach. The winner was chosen by votes on Facebook. When all was said and done, Odyssey won by a landslide, with a total of 291 votes! Odyssey has been awarded a $1000 prize. Thank you to everyone who voted for us!
Kid-Created Christmas cards and a photo card
It’s that time again! Our Odyssey children have created the most wonderful Christmas cards and a photo card for the holiday season. As an added bonus, they have also created four of the most adorable note cards in a set to be used year round. This is imagination at its best!
On Wednesday, November 2, Odyssey will be selling the cards at Wind Way Gallery, 203 South Austin Street in downtown Rockport, from 4-7PM. This will be an opportunity for patrons to purchase the cards tax- free. Please join us for a delightful afternoon!
Odyssey cards will also be offered at merchants around Rockport.

You Light up Our Lives …
On October 20, Odyssey participated in the nationwide, Lights on After School program by hosting a Lights on After School event at the Miriam Ferrell Youth Center. Families, board members, volunteers, and community notables joined our Odyssey children in celebrating their accomplishments in Odyssey this year. Major C.J. Wax read a proclamation in honor of Odyssey.
Guests perused handmade lighthouses and life size self portraits, and were treated to comedy routines, theatre sketches, and an entire dance troupe of little pirates in search of Odyssey, all designed by our Odyssey kids and teachers.

Sigwald Service Co. Helps Odyssey get T-shirts!
Sigwald Service Co. of Rockport, TX generously donated money to aid The Odyssey After School Enrichment Program in purchasing t-shirts for our upcoming Lights on After School Program. Lights on After School is a nationwide event celebrating the accomplishments of children participating in after school programs and is a very special event for Odyssey and our kids.
Pictured in the photo are Darren Sigwald, Jessica Picarazzi, Executive Director of Odyssey, and a few of our Odyssey kids modeling our wonderful t-shirts.

The shirts were also featured in a photo contest our kids participated in that was sponsored by Lights On After School. Board members and families joined our Odyssey children on the beach and formed a light house. The Rockport Volunteer Fire Department brought a fire truck to the beach and lifted our volunteer photographer, Leeanne Manahan, into the air to take an aerial shot.
Odyssey’s enrollment is currently at capacity for both our Live Oak and First Presbyterian sites. If you are interested in placing your child on one of our waiting lists, please fill out our registration form and mail the form, along with your registration fee to:
